Dear Friends,

I have just started a playlist called "Summer Beachy Shit." So far I have the artists Tough Alliance and The Drums, for instance. Please contribute accordingly. And don't go crazy with like 20 suggestions. I want the best of your best.

If you have a sweet tooth even for cocktails, then this dessert inspired martini will make you want a slice of the action.

1 digestive biscuit bashed into fine crumbs
2 (25ml) shots vodka
Half (25ml) shot lime juice, plus more for the rim
1 (25ml) shot condensed milk

1. Dip the rim of a martini glass in lime juice and then the digestive biscuit crumbs to coat the edge of the glass.
2. Put some ice into a cocktail shaker and add the vodka and lime juice. Pour in the condensed milk and shake it very well to mix.
3. Strain carefully into the martini glass taking care to avoid the biscuit coated rim.

And that is sad to me.

Or lack thereof.

Dear Livejournal friends,

Please pool your pennies together and buy me these. They're only $220 brand new on eBay.

I could settle for some paint in the same colour scheme. I just might have the inspiration for my new bedroom.

This is no offense to Ashe's mom, who knitted me mittens for Christmas. She included orange yarn in the pattern because she knows orange is my favourite ever. Alison says she used really expensive wool and knitted them with great knitting wisdom. And they're really warm and symbolic of the love we share. But I need to retire them for a couple of weeks while this Olympic spirit in me burns bright.

GIVE US A WORTHY HOCKEY OPPONENT, ALREADY. I'm off to find a site that carries official Ukraine and Bulgaria merch and not loose-threaded bootlegs.

Dear Canadian LJ friends,

Are any of you with Solo Mobile? Is it any good? I might take over a friend's contract to get her out of a jam.

With little effort, I've managed to sway my mom into using another one of my interior design ideas. At my local Ikea I saw a sample bathroom that was Parisian-inspired. Pink walls, white porcelain, and black detailing. I absolutely love it. It's ultra feminine and classy, much more stylized than the maroon/brass theme we have going on now. So in our new condo, whenever we do get one, we're going to do something along those lines. I showed her this pic to exemplify where my thought process was coming from. Hopefully the tiles accommodate...

My question is, for those of you in Southern Ontario, can you suggest any good stores or antique shops that would help me out here? Or to my friends abroad... any stores online? Websites that inspire?

I was at this sports fan merchandise store, and it had many great gift ideas. I had no issues buying things for my cousin and my uncle. When it came to find something for my nephew, I was totally lost...

Lesh: Vinny, what is your favourite football team again?
Vinny: lol the minnesota vikings, whats yours
Lesh: The Miami Dolphins. Because I like Florida, and dolphins are cute.

I love love love showing off my favourite hockey team because it gets a rise out of every Leafs fan. And any hockey fan, really.

Hockey Fan: Blah blah blah, Leafs Leafs Leafs, snuggles + kisses.
Lesh: ...go Sens.
All: WHAT THE...!
